A sneaky way to take this species in very dry areas is to take an ordinary bottle of water that’s half filled and just slightly loosen the top a tad so air but not water can escape……… Then drop it on the dirt road and drive away…….. sneak back in an hour or two later and you’ll very often find the jackals have found it and are worrying it……… they concentrate so hard on the bottle, they forget about everything else so you can often take several of these pest species on the bame ‘bait’! 🙂
